At our travel clinic in Vancouver, we’re well aware of the fact that not everyone feels safe getting a vaccine, or giving their child one. For most people, vaccines will usually produce a few mild symptoms or none at all, in others, there might be various more exaggerated symptoms to be aware of.

For example, the majority of people will experience a sore arm as well as a low-grade fever. These are both common side effects as arm pain and rashes are normal responses of the body as a foreign substance gets injected. Why? Because the vaccine’s main job is to mimic the pathogen to create immunity, without actually causing the disease in the body, with all of its symptoms.
